Recently rediscovered live improvisations recorded in 2008 over the weekend of 30th May - 1st June. Although these were improvisations, many of the sounds and sequences in The East View Sessions Volume One can be heard in other EL recordings especially in ‘teas of the fruits’, parts of which would later become ‘Time Trumpet’, and ‘sad elephant’ which was renamed ‘Electric Horse Law’. Apologies for all the crackles, pops, hiss and distortion, a result of taking a recording directly from the terrible mixer we used at the time. As the recordings were taken directly from the mixer it wasn't possible to remix them in any way. Everything is presented here in the chronological order it was recorded in and has been given the name given to it at the time. Not sure why there is a track called ‘bananafut’ and another called ‘bananafut 2’ (or why that was recorded first!) but it seemed like maybe these two tracks were meant to have been mixed together so ‘bananafut together’ is added here as a bonus track. Please enjoy!
